the PHEV Geely SUV impressed Edmunds

From China: Geely’s biggest PHEV, the crossover Galaxy M9, bested some of our best big hybrid crossovers, while achieving a full 100 to 130 miles of driving on a 41 kWh battery on full electric power alone followed by 700+ miles on gas when necessary [on long trips].
The M9 sprinted to 60 mph in a very quick 4.2 seconds and in our 60-to-0-mph emergency braking test. It takes just 110 feet to come to a stop.

It’s available in six or seven seats, and sits at the very top of Geely’s Chinese lineup. Power comes from a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, which works in concert with a three-speed dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT) and three different electric motors.

However, they are facing an uphill battle; there is still Trump’s 100% (!) tariff on Chinese-made vehicles.
